Learn to connect with your dog and understand your dog’s language.

Develop a better relationship with your dog today!

Is your dog reactive toward other dogs or people?

Do they pull on the leash?
Is separation anxiety a problem?
Are they fearful of noise, people or situations?
Does your dog always come when called?

These and other issues can affect so many aspects of your daily life and be stressful for your whole family. When a dog is reactive, walking the dog may be a chore rather than a joy. You may even avoid inviting guests into your home. You might worry for your dog’s safety if recall is not 100% reliable in all situations.

My goal is to help people and their canine companions find new ways to communicate.

Because every relationship is totally unique, I approach each situation with a fresh eye. I will assess your dog’s behavior and learn about your personal expectations.
I give you a clear picture of how we will begin to shift the behaviour. From then on, each time you interact using some simple techniques, you’ll be improving the communication and deepening the bond between you and your dog.

Develop a better relationship than you ever dreamed possible! And best of all – it can be fun for both of you!

My Philosophy

I am dedicated to nurturing the connection between you and your dog based on clear communication. I will guide you through simple, practical techniques & games that lead to solutions to specific behaviour concerns, in the spirit of respect, cooperation, and play rather than dominance.

Let’s make your day to day interactions with each other fulfilling for both of you.

The root of reactivity is often fear. Let me help your dog see that the world is not such a scary place. By learning to understand your dog’s language, and why they do what they do, we can begin to change those undesirable behaviours, inspire confidence, and restore a sense of joy – for both of you!

Let’s give your dog the gift of a new way of being in the world.

What I Offer

I offer private sessions in which we create a plan to address the needs of both dog and owner. I embrace only kind training methods that encourage your dog to make good choices through positive reinforcement.  During the initial visit, I will listen to your concerns, take a history, and observe your dog in his or her environment. We will start right away to work on the issues during this initial consultation. I will follow up with a written report which will include suggestions for a training plan. We then schedule a series of hourly sessions to work with you and your dog. This may be in your home, outdoors, over Zoom, or at my studio depending on the circumstances.

In addition to one-on-one training, I offer group classes on a range of relevant canine-related topics for a variety of focus groups, clubs, organizations, and schools, including Children’s classes. These include:

“Dogs do the very best they can with the education we give them and the environment that we put them in…”
